This Privacy Policy explains how CalcHub.uk collects, uses and protects personal data. We are committed to processing data lawfully, fairly and transparently in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
CalcHub.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. CalcHub.uk acts as the data controller for any personal data processed via the Site.
All calculations on CalcHub.uk are performed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or process any numbers you enter into our calculators on our servers. Your financial and personal data never leaves your device.
When you contact us via the contact form or email, we receive the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
When you visit CalcHub.uk, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This is used solely for operating and improving the website.
Article 6(1) of the UK GDPR requires us to identify a lawful basis for every processing activity. The bases we rely on are:
We apply the UK GDPR principle of data minimisation. We collect only what we need: we do not ask for date of birth, address, National Insurance number or any other identifier in any calculator; calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and never sent to our servers; and the contact form asks only for a name (optional), email (so we can reply) and the message itself.
CalcHub.uk uses minimal cookies. We may use:
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your use of the calculators. For full details — categories, retention and how to change your choice — see our dedicated Cookie Policy.
We use the automatically collected information to:
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or share it with third parties except as required by law. We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you.
CalcHub.uk may use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
CalcHub.uk is hosted in the European Economic Area. Some technical service providers we use (notably Cloudflare for CDN edge caching) operate global networks and may route requests through servers outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, in force since the ICO's 2023 adequacy decision and subsequent updates) and, where adequacy is not available, on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email avalonsuport@gmail.com with the words “Data subject request” in the subject line. We will respond within one month of receiving your request, as required by UK GDPR Article 12(3). Since we do not collect identifying personal data through calculator use, and any analytics data is anonymised, several of these rights may not practically apply to data held by us — but you have the right to ask.
If you are unhappy with how we have processed your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory authority:
We would prefer the chance to address your concern first, so we encourage you to contact us before escalating to the ICO.
We retain data only as long as necessary:
CalcHub.uk is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. Because of the small scale and low-risk nature of our processing, we are not required to appoint a statutory Data Protection Officer under Article 37 UK GDPR. Data-protection enquiries are handled directly by the editorial team.

CalcHub.uk is not directed at children under 18. Our calculators are educational and can be useful for older students learning about UK personal finance, but the Site is not designed for or marketed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
CalcHub.uk does not currently operate a marketing newsletter. If we launch one in the future, it will be opt-in only. You will be able to withdraw consent at any time using a one-click unsubscribe link in every message, and we will not share your email with third parties for marketing.
We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data:
We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged with a prominent banner on the Site. Continued use of CalcHub.uk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
