How much can you pay into a Junior SIPP in 2026/27?
You can contribute up to £2,880 net (£3,600 gross with tax relief) to a Junior SIPP per year.
Full answer
A Junior SIPP allows contributions of up to £2,880 net per year for a child, with 20% tax relief added automatically making the gross contribution £3,600. This applies even if the child has no income. Parents, grandparents or others can contribute. The pension is locked until minimum pension age (57 from 2028). Starting at birth and contributing £2,880/year for 18 years, assuming 7% growth, could produce over £1 million by retirement.
