Full Definition
An Executive Pension Plan (EPP) is a type of defined contribution occupational pension that was traditionally set up by an employer for a single senior director or executive, often allowing higher employer contributions and more investment flexibility than a standard workplace scheme of its era. EPPs are largely a legacy product today — most new director pension saving now happens through a SIPP or SSAS — but many older EPPs are still held and can be transferred or consolidated.
