What is Fractional Shares?
A partial unit of a share, letting investors buy less than one whole share of a company.

Fractional shares let investors buy a portion of a single share rather than a whole one, which is especially useful for high-priced stocks where one full share can cost hundreds or thousands of pounds. Many UK investment platforms now offer fractional share dealing within a Stocks & Shares ISA or general investment account, though the underlying shares are usually held in a nominee structure on the investor's behalf rather than registered directly in their name, and not every platform or every stock supports fractional trading.
